IATA is a trade association of the world’s airlines. Consisting of 278 airlines, primarily major carriers, representing 117 countries, IATA's member airlines account for carrying approximately 83% of total Available Seat Kilometers air traffic. IATA supports airline activity and helps formulate industry policy and standards. It is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with Executive Offices in Geneva, Switzerland.
For their annual conference in 2014, IATA required an app that would help educate users on fuel cost savings in a fun interactive way. The goal was to display fuel data through a integractive app for guests to tinker with as they visit the kiosk. The app was used on tablet devices by conference attendees. Designed for quick interaction, the experience needed to be simple and the design elegant, reflecting IATA's existing brand clearly.
For the ultimate UX, the app performs calculations and diplays data without lag.
We parterned with Motion-Path to design the interface and 3D graphics for this app.
